HOW TO NAIL YOUR NICHE

The topic of identifying a niche may be the most misunderstood aspect of running a coaching business.

It’s also the most important!

Sadly, too many coaches fail at building successful businesses because they were either in the wrong niche, or they don’t drill down enough to actually hit their target market, or worse, they have no niche at all (even though they would absolutely tell you they did).

nail your nicheAs counter-intuitive as it sounds, narrowing your focus down to a smaller piece of the pie is absolutely necessary when you’re just starting out as a coach.

Wanting to “help everyone,” and worrying about “leaving people behind” will only serve to create a marketing nightmare for yourself and your business.

And telling yourself, “I have to wait and see,” is the worst thing you can do. This is a surefire way to s-l-o-w  d-o-w-n the whole process of growing your coaching business.

In Nail Your Niche I teach coaches about the three levels of target marketing:

MACRO: 30-thousand feet from ground level, where you can barely identify the people you want to serve.

MESO: 15-thousand feet from ground level where you have a pretty good idea about the kind of coaching you want to do.

MICRO: Ground level, where you absolutely nail it.

A MICRO Niche is one with an ultra-clear message that grabs a reader and pulls them in. When you’re clear about who your website visitors are, they will stay on your site and gobble up everything you write about. They’ll sign up for your free offer. They’ll clamor to work with you.

THAT’S WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE A NICHE.

This is foundational work. It’s the work that needs to be at the top of your priority list.
