DID YOU KNOW THAT THE SIZE OF YOUR BACKSIDE IS A REFLECTION OF HOW HEAVY YOUR HEAD IS?
Heavy Head = Heavy Butt
Let me explain…
The average head weighs about 11 pounds. But when you take into account all the thoughts that you allow to run roughshod through your mind every day, the extra pounds start to add up… on your body.
So then you look to blame someone or something for what’s happening to your body.
You blame food for making you fat.
You blame the scale for ruining your day.
You blame your thyroid for letting you down.
You blame your sore knees for not being able to exercise.
You blame your age.
You blame your mother.
We don’t realize it but blame keeps us from having to deal with the weight of the world that resides in our head.
Welcome to The Land of WTF, one of the most fattening places on the planet.
The Land of WTF is where we go when we don’t Woman UP and take responsibility for the way we think, how we feel, and what we choose to eat in any given moment.
If you want to reduce the size of your butt, you first have to lose the weight in your head.
You have to starve your mind of “fattening” thoughts.
You have to commit to consciously choosing the way you want to think about your body, your weight, and the food you put on your plate.
What is a fattening thought and how do you starve your mind of it?
A fattening thought is one that weighs you down. In feels like dread, or jealousy, or any one of 50 shades of bad.
A fattening thought makes you feel like eating, even when you’re not hungry.
Food doesn’t make you fat, fattening thoughts do.
A fattening thought has a lot more calories than the most decadent chocolate chip cookie.
You see, the cookie can’t make you fat; it can’t open your mouth and force its way down your throat. It can’t make you feel good (notice how it doesn’t have arms to hug you). It’s just there.
We are the only ones who can make ourselves fat and we do that with our noggins. You may not like hearing this but it really is all in your head. It’s not the cookie’s fault.
It’s how you think about the cookie and why you shouldn’t eat it that causes us to eat the cookie. And the next one. And the one after that.
It’s because you tell yourself you deserve it, and how it isn’t fair that you “can’t” eat the cookie, especially since you’ve “earned the cookie” after being “good” all day. That’s what makes you eat the cookie. And the next one. And the one after that.
And so it goes.
It’s the inner thought war we have with the cookie (or the French fries, or the pizza), that ultimately makes us eat the food, just to stop the madness.
The solution? I know I say this a lot, and it may sound rather pithy, but the only way to shrink the size of your backside (once and for all) is to Woman UP.
Stop listening to the bullshiitakes in your head.
Your old thought habits are impacting the size of your butt.
The good news? You have the power to change your mind.
