It’s time to put your walk where your talk is.
Talk is cheap.
(And kinda fattening if you ask me.)
Why do I say “it’s time”? Because I believe it’s what we do with our lives AFTER forty that really counts.
I think of the first forty years as a time to “try things on.”
The next 40+ years are about picking the outfit you like best.
Changing it when YOU want.
Without apology.
That last part? That’s a biggie.
Without. Apology.
A Woman of Substance doesn’t apologize for who she is, no matter what.
Even if the entire world tells her she “shouldn’t do this” or “shouldn’t do that”… she does it. Not because she needs to rebel, but because that is what she wants to do.
AND… she’s prepared for the consequences. She goes ALL IN with her eyes wide open.
She owns her decisions.
She owns her life.
A woman of substance has a very specific mindset: She’s blissfully aware of her worth. She doesn’t care to waste time judging others. And she has little time for those who would judge her.
She has neither the time nor the patience for Self Doubt.
She’s been around. She’s seen a few things. She’s taken a few knocks. Most importantly, she has learned from her “mistakes.” And the best part?
She is thankful for her mistakes.
She’s a realist.
She’s creative.
She loves to laugh… even at herself.
She stands firmly on her own two feet.
If she wants to lose weight, she loses it.
If she wants a better relationship, she makes it happen.
If she wants more money, she earns it.
If she wants to eat cake for breakfast, you can be damn sure that’s exactly what she does.
Becoming a Woman of Substance is a process.
A delightful, challenging, status-quo-busting process.
To become a Woman of Substance is to practice the art of living a dignified life.
