The Dignity Diet was revised in 2020 to incorporate a more advanced approach I use with my clients who have struggled with their bodies and their weight for years, not understanding why or how they got here. The answer, of course: DIET CULTURE
But in recent years I found that more and more of my clients were coming to me with a new source of shame:
Anti-Diet Culture.
The underlying message of ANTI-DIET CULTURE is that's it's shameful to lose weight because you should love your body just the way it is.
This is merely the flip side of Diet Culture... it's still telling women what to do.
Your body is your business. If you want to lose weight, you have every right to make that call, but consider doing it in a way that maintains your DIGNITY.
That's what The Dignity Diet is all about - treating yourself with utmost respect, whether you choose to lose weight or not.
